Pick n Pay and FNB have launched an exclusive new deal, giving customers everything they need to make four cheeseburgers at home for just R50—a cost-effective R12.50 per burger.

Available every Friday, the deal is designed to help South Africans enjoy quality, affordable meals at home at a time when budgets are under increasing pressure. Typically priced at R150, customers who swipe their registered Smart Shopper card and pay with their FNB card in-store will pay just R50 for five ingredients to make a classic burger. If customers only swipe their registered Smart Shopper card, the price is R100.

“We’re making it easier for families to enjoy a delicious homemade meal at an unbeatable price. This deal is about making family mealtimes more convenient and affordable while still delivering on taste and quality," says Peter Arnold, Pick n Pay: Executive Commercial Fresh.

This is the latest in a series of value-driven offers from Pick n Pay and FNB’s newly launched ‘Iconic Duo’ partnership, which saw Pick n Pay become the primary grocery partner in FNB’s eBucks programme this week. Pick n Pay and FNB have previously collaborated on initiatives such as the 99c bread offer, which saw 400,000 vouchers issued to FNB Easy customers in December 2024 alone.

The partnership will also bring more innovative savings initiatives to customers over the coming months. "We know our customers are always looking for more ways to save on groceries, and this is just the beginning of what we have planned," adds Arnold.

The Burger Friday deal includes five ingredients: a choice of PnP Burger Patties 4s (Beef/Boerie/Cheese/Pepper), PnP Bakery Buns (4s), Lettuce Mix (80g), Slicing Tomatoes (2s), and Lancewood Processed Cheese Slices (175g).

With four different patty options, customers can try a different burger combination each week.

“The deal is designed to be a great meal on its own, but with the savings, customers can easily add extra toppings and create a more gourmet burger experience at home," says Arnold.

The Burger Friday deal launches on 4 April 2025 and will be available every Friday, with a limit of three deals per customer per week.
